In a world where we are inundated with information from sun up to sundown, we can all benefit from a simpler lifestyle.
If you need to find a way to make your workday easier or to organize your personal life, Gmail add-ons can help.
There are no shortages of plugins to choose from, but how do you choose the ones that will benefit you the most? We’ve compiled a list of the seven best Gmail extensions that can help streamline your life. Let’s take a look!
1. Todoist
Todoist is one of our favorite extensions for Gmail. Whether you’re a business owner or a customer service rep, you can agree that many tasks begin and end with email communications. Having your to-do list on hand while sorting through your emails can help you stay better organized.
The Todoist extension features a popup window that will stay on the side of any message that you are composing. From the window, you’ll be able to perform task management and even transform your message into a task.
2. Boomerang
If you’re searching for a Gmail Chrome extension that doubles as a great productivity tool, look no further than Boomerang. You can schedule messages, track them, and schedule reminders right in Gmail.
With features like Inbox Pause, you can work uninterrupted while still receiving notifications of important incoming emails.
3. ActiveInbox
AciveInbox is one of the original Gmail plugins, having been around since 2006. It’s a great solution for task management that has stood the test of time. It allows you to transform your emails into tasks, track and prioritize said tasks and even turn groupings of tasks into projects.
4. Zoom
Video or voice calls can quickly solve problems that would have otherwise taken all day during e-mail back-and-forths. With Zoom for Google, you can easily start a video call with anyone you’ve been emailing.
The handy Zoom button is in the sidebar. It allows you to invite everyone who’s participating in the e-mail thread to the meeting. No time for a call now? That’s ok; you can schedule calls for later with this extension, too.
5. Gmelius
This extension has a lot to offer. From an improved Gmail interface to scheduling messages, email templates, and setting reminders on your emails, there is no shortage of tools that can help your business. There are some usage limitations unless you opt to buy the pro versions ($108-$240 per year).
6. Mailvelope
It’s no secret that Gmail isn’t impervious to dedicated hackers. If you’re looking for a Gmail extension to protect your sensitive e-mails, you need Mailvelope. This tool provides end-to-end encryption for any e-mails you wish to be private.
It provides you with a unique key that you’ll then need to share with the recipient.
7. UglyEmail
It’s creepy to think that your clients may be keeping an eye on you. Some of the emails you receive may have trackers on them, allowing the sender to know if you’ve opened their message.
If you’re sick of wondering who might be keeping tabs on your email viewing, you need UglyEmail. This extension places an “evil eye” icon next to emails that are being tracked. Knowing who’s watching you allows you to determine if you want to continue to do business with these clients.
Everyone Can Benefit From Gmail Extensions
Many of the Gmail add ons on our list are catered to businessfolk. You may not use email during your workday, but you still may want to consider some of these plugins for your personal email, too. Go to Gmail, install some of these plugins, and see how much simpler your day-to-day life can get.
