  • Why Go Solar? To Change The Planet and Join the Revolution

Do you want to go green? Many people know that the environment is something they need to do something about but put it off. But as the recent climate change strikes have shown, if we don’t do something soon there could be no going back.

There is a good chance that you’ve heard of solar panels. Solar panel growth increased by 50% in 2017. Having them installed might seem like a lot of effort but the returns for your pocket and the environment might surprise you.

So here’s why go solar and how it can affect your wallet and the environment, for the better.

Good for the Environment

Unlike energy produced from coal, gas, and petroleum, solar energy does burn up fuel and emit carbon into the atmosphere. Drastically elevated carbon levels in the atmosphere are what is driving climate change. This is one of the largest reasons why solar energy is one of the forms of renewable energy that can save the planet and us who live on it.

Additionally, the energy from solar panels that you do not use goes back to the national grid, making it waste-free.

Solar panels can be used in conjunction with another form of renewable energy such as hydroelectricity and wind turbines so that you can power your house even when the sun isn’t shining.

You can even build up reserves to use for colder windy days when there is no sun to be seen.

If you are interested in installing a solar-powered generator then be sure to check out progressive power solutions.

Saves Money

There is an initial cost of installing solar panels but it is important to remember that this is sometimes subsidized by the government to encourage green living. What’s more, most solar setups pose an attractive and lucrative RIO over time, as you will enjoy essentially free energy until any components need to be replaced.

This is why it is better to think of solar as an investment that you will earn back in the coming years. After you install solar panels, you may even start to realize that you have too much energy. In some circumstances, you can sell this back to the power grid to make a profit for yourself.

Waste Not, Want Not

We live in a wasteful society. If we have too much of something than previously we have just thrown it out without worrying about where it ends up. But after decades of not bothering to recycle, now we are waking up and becoming conscious.

Don’t waste your finances on huge electricity bills and don’t waste electricity when you don’t have to. Solar panels are efficient in so many ways and are worth the initial investment.

Why Go Solar? To Change The Planet and Join the Revolution

Why go solar? Solar panels can help us stop using electricity with a frightening carbon footprint behind it, and instead use green energy.

Solar panels can also help you save money as you no longer have to pay huge electricity bills and there are even some countries where you can sell on any energy that you haven’t used up at the end of the month or quarter.
