Android, created by Google, and IOS, created by Apple, are two of the most popular mobile operating systems on the market today. Both have staunch defenders and a loyal fanbase that would argue that their preferred system is the best. For the most part, these two operating are similar in terms of their UIs but both differ greatly in their customizability, functionality, and general performance levels.
Both have some specific advantages that the other can’t match and both have a few downfalls that weigh in favour of the opposing system.

The IOS operating system only works on Apple mobile devices like iPhone and iPad. This allows the company to focus wholly on creating an operating system that perfectly matches the hardware capabilities of the chosen device. In this regard, Apple devices tend to perform at a much higher level than Android devices.
All IOS operating systems run on Qualcomm’s Superdragon Chip series which is one of the best in the world. This singular focus allows Apple to also introduce standardized software updates frequently, which greatly improves the performance of the IOS operating systems.
Android is about 2 years behind Apple in terms of the performance and speed of most of their operating systems. Apple apps are available at the Apple store which has around 1 million apps available for download, of which about 30% work on tablets. In this regard Android is the winner, but we have to tell you that Android apps are not regulated as well as Apple, so it’s once again debatable!
