Taking any form of exam, whether it is for a job or eligibility, can be daunting and frustrating. Sometimes, the pressure of having to pass it drives people to quit and pursue other endeavors. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. With proper guidance and the right mindset and habit, you can make it through with flying colors.
Let us tell you what is USPS… USPS is considered as the first post office service or you can say email services in the US and its states.

So, if you are to take the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Postal Exam, for example, don’t get your hopes down. To give you a background, the US Post Office conducts the test for people who want to apply as postal clerks, certified mail service processing clerks, and postal carriers.

Here are some tips you should know and apply to hit that passing mark.

1. Know and Understand the Format of the Test

Crucial to usps test preparation is knowing and understanding the format of the exam. By doing so, you’ll have a better idea of what you are going to expect during the test proper. You’ll also learn the number of questions, essential knowledge areas, and formats of the items. In that way, you can also target the right literature and references when conducting your reviews. That will give you more chance of learning the right topic.

2. Have a Study Guide

While it is imperative to determine the exam itself, it counts to take time to study. And when studying, it matters to have a study guide that can help you properly manage and undertake various tasks. Through that, you’ll commit zero or minimal errors when completing forms or entering proper codes for address purposes. While preparing for the exam, you should follow study tips for the test.

3. Create a Plan of Attack

Any exam entails a study plan and schedule. That is your plan of attack. So, before the exam, take time just to sit and study and set consistent schedules for this. You can allot an hour or two of your day or file a month’s leave so you can make this happen. Take note, however, that you only have seven days to take the exam after receiving the email. That is why don’t prepare at the last minute.

4. Personal Inventory Section Matters a Lot

Four sections compose the exam. One of which is the Personal Inventory Section, which you can administer and take at the comfort of your home. However, not passing this exam means failing the entire test. This section is also ambiguous, and when it comes to the questions, there’s no right or wrong answer.

That is because it only aims to assess your personality and work experience. Regardless, make sure you properly read the questions and your answers before submitting them. Trivia: You will be provided 236 questions with three sections that you need to complete within 90 minutes.

5. Don’t be discouraged with a “C”

To pass the exam, you need to get a minimum score of 70. The USPS test, however, is a competitive exam. That means you are competing against other contenders hoping to make it to any of the job positions. Because you are contending with other hopefuls, you should aim for a higher score. Experts would recommend that you need to hit at least 85 to make it to the top three scorers.
