You could become an accountant. You don’t have to be able to hear to be an account since everything is normally done on paper or online.

You can communicate in numerous ways with your clients with the need for hearing what they say.

However, you’ll need to be prepared to go to college to get qualified. But, once you do, there is a safe and secure salary involved as an accountant.

2. Try out Being an Interpreter or Translator

Have you always been fascinated by the French language? Are you eager to learn Arabic?

You know already know more than one language. Language isn’t only about speech. Writing and reading can be just as important.

But, you could also translate or interpret sign language. There are many different types of sign language depending on the culture.

People with different signs also need to be able to communicate with each other. You could even make a career out of such a role.

3. Experiment as a Lab Technician

If you’ve always been fascinated by medicine, you may find that you have challenges with being a doctor or a nurse.

But, don’t turn down every chance to work in the medical or clinical professions. There may be a chance for you to become a lab technician.

You won’t have to constantly communicate with others in the lab. You work independently to analyze your subject.

4. Pursue a Career in Social Work

You may be motivated by the wish to help people. Social work allows you to discover meaning in your career.

You don’t necessarily have to be able to hear either. Of course, there are many people in care who cannot hear either.

You can help support other people who are deaf and hard of hearing. While the emotional rewards are incredible, you may find this career exhausting.

5. Explore Opportunities in Education

You shouldn’t let being deaf or hard of hearing stop you from becoming a teacher. There are many opportunities in the educational sector to realize your career aspirations.

You may even be able to secure employment in a specialist school for children who are deaf and hard of hearing. This will help you apply your own experience too.
