Handle Disruptive Behavior in the Classroom

If you are like most teachers, there are sure that nearly 2 or 3 undergrads take your time. When these students are absent or when they are out of the class, everything is going well, the class is for certain more better when there are no disruptions. The following is a list of rules on what not to do, which will tell you how to handle the most outrageous disruptions.

how to deal with a disruptive student

Do not ask

The teachers ask the students for a reason for their behavior, as a way to demonstrate their authority. Be that as it may, inquiring as to why and requesting an answer quite often winds up transformed into disdain. Furthermore, understudies who object to their educators will never enhance their conduct in the classroom. Undergraduates can also look for Assignment Writing Service.

Do not argue

When discussing difficult students, you make sure for creating a situation where you talk something else and they talk something else. When you do this it disregards properties of the responsibility that is sought, and also opens the doors for the rest of the students to start discussing with you.

Do not scold or shout.

Giving a speech, scolding and shouting will make all students perceive you in a negative way, but if you direct your anger towards a particular student, it can be especially harmful. Creating a teacher-student relationship based on friction virtually guarantees that the student’s performance will get worse.

Do not admire dishonestly

At times what teachers do is that they praise the students and they admire them in a dishonest manner. Out of everything, it is confirmed that false praise does not work. Instead, you should only praise meaningfully and sincerely when a true accomplishment is achieved.

Do not rancor

All the students are the same and the teachers must treat them equally. The teachers must not hold a grudge against themselves. Do not bully the children or the students as it effects heavily over the studies.

Do not get angry

The teacher loses their temper but they have to control the situation, even if it’s condescension in your eyes, it makes you less effective. Your sympathy wanes. The tension rises in the classroom.

Do not ignore bad behavior

Keeping in mind that you have more than one student in the class, ignoring the bad behavior of the students will not make them go fine, you need to work on them. Tell the rules that you have previously planned or the rules of conduct that are set by you. What would happen if you were their role model, they respected you, and they trusted you and they would like to be in your company?

What happens if you approve and accept what you have to say?

Currently, one of the main problems in our classrooms is behavior problems in children and adolescents. When we talk about disruptive behaviors, we refer to inappropriate behaviors that harm the good functioning of the classroom, referring to tasks, relationships with classmates, compliance with class norms or lack of respect for the teacher. Children, who do not stop talking, offend others, have aggressive or excessive behavior, lose control easily, show and verbalize a negative attitude towards work, denying cooperation and attracting attention…

These behaviors are a mismatch in the child’s developmental development because they prevent the creation and maintenance of healthy social relationships with their peers and with adults. We must keep in mind that behind inappropriate behavior there are usually psychological factors that trigger it: feelings of abandonment, frustration, low self-esteem, lack of establishment of norms in the family nucleus. These responses are tactics acquired or learned to provoke the adult and call Attention. Disruptive behavior is common in childhood, but in some cases, due to its frequency and persistence over time, it becomes a problem. Generally, these behaviors occur both at home and at school.

In order to establish behavior guidelines for behaviors, it would be good for teachers to record behaviors. This will give us many clues about how we can help the problem. Understand that behaviors try to provoke anger in others, therefore, do not let us manipulate, do not enter into discussions, keep calm and do not raise the tone of voice. Try to speak softly, not too close and never holding or holding. If you do not raise the tone of voice, encourage the student not to do. We can be forceful without sounding aggressive. It is recommended that the child perceive security in the adult who imposes corrective measures with a firm but non-threatening tone.

Apply a manual of coexistence among all students, which is visible to everyone (posters, murals), where clear and explicit rules of conduct are well established. It is necessary that the students intervene in this process since in this way they will see it as objectives to be achieved and not as imposed norms. Make clear the consequences before applying them.
